Every night, whenever she goes to bed, she puts on her headphones and turns the music up to fight against her anxieties and intrusive thoughts which haunt her even in her dreams.<br/><br/>Mero [愛音] is a shy 13-year-old teenage girl. She visited her grandparents in the countryside every summer when she was young until they moved into the City. She fell in love with music on one of her childhood trips and ever since then music has been a source of comfort in her life.<br/><br/>Chappy is an energetic and happy old man who runs the Shop in the Dream World. He represents Mero’s memory of the real world Chappy, the owner of the Candy Shop in the countryside she used to visit. Chappy was the one who introduced Mero to music.<br/><br/>Shadow Mero is the inner voice of Mero that brings her down and desires to return to the days when she was still an anxious little girl.
