Forbes Contributor Scotty Reiss (A Girls Guide to Cars) shows off the X Gran Berlinetta and Neolun, and explains the real reason concept cars are so important for brands.<br/><br/>The Genesis X Berlinetta concept is a piping hot orange colored Korean supercar. Created by Genesis for the Vision Gran Turismo series, this sleek coupe is powered by a hybrid V6 powertrain pumping out a total of 1071 hp and 986 lb-ft of torque. For anyone wanting to drive the X Berlinetta (virtually of course), just access Gran Turismo 7, as the car was added to the game in January.<br/><br/>The fully-electric Neolun (meaning “new moon”) is a big, hyper-luxurious SUV concept with a lavish two-row interior with front seats that swivel backward, but it could easily be a three-row machine if it reaches production.<br/><br/>Inside, the Neolun is full of ambitious features, only some of which would make it to a real-world model. Rotating seats and coach doors have been done before on other vehicles, but the radiant heating in the floor and the complete lack of a B-pillar are ambitious indeed. But for 2024 there’s a whole new type of Macan.<br/><br/>Calvin Kim, Product Spokesperson for Porsche North America, takes Forbes on a tour of the all-new, fully-electric Macan EV at the 2024 New York International Auto Show.<br/><br/>For Porsche, “performance is luxury,” and the Macan EV will be a scorcher, with 402 or 630 horsepower depending on the model. It will charge quickly thanks to its 800-volt architecture, which the automaker claims can go from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes on a DC fast charger. _2024-toyota-landcruiser-70-series-gxl-dual-cab-design-preview.webp "The next chapter in the story of the venerable Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series is set to begin with the Australian arrival of the heavily upgraded 4x4 range, sporting new styling, upgraded technology, and a second powertrain option never before offered on the 70 Series.<br/><br/>Since its launch in 2007, the current-generation 70 Series range has been available exclusively with the 1VD-FTV 4.5-litre turbo-diesel V8 engine and five-speed manual transmission.<br/><br/>However the upgraded LandCruiser introduces the 1GD 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, for the first time in the 70 Series.<br/><br/>Priced from $75,600 plus on-road costs for the WorkMate 76 Series Wagon equipped with the new four-cylinder engine, the versatile 70 Series range is offered in five-door Wagon, three-door Troop Carrier, and Single and Double-Cab Chassis configurations.<br/><br/>All models are available with both powertrain options except the Workmate 76 Series Wagon, which is only available with the 2.8-litre four-cylinder engine.<br/><br/>Multiple mechanical changes have been made to the engine specifically for the 70 Series to ensure optimal cooling and performance in tough conditions and under heavy towing loads, with all models of the 70 Series’ maintaining a strong 3500kg braked towing capacity.<br/><br/>The 4.5-litre turbo-diesel V8 produces 151kW at 3400rpm and 430Nm from 1200-3200rpm and, paired with a five-speed manual, will continue to be offered on all 70 Series variants with the exception of the 76 Series WorkMate.<br/><br/>As before, the LandCruiser 70 Series range is equipped with a part-time 4x4 system with low-range gearing, durable live axles and front coil suspension.")
